On February 19th, over sixty faculty and staff gathered in the Faculty Dining Room for the Colin Powell School’s Faculty in Fellowship Luncheon, an event designed to recognize faculty contributions and strengthen connections across the school.
Dean Marc Ostfield spoke to the central role faculty play in student life, highlighting the importance of events like this that offer faculty a chance to get to know each other better, and the value of faculty and staff working together in support of students. Director of Academic Advising Herbert Seignoret presented an overview of Academic Advising offerings, followed by a summary of Office of Student Services programs, including the school’s paid internships initiative. Faculty received resource folders to help them direct students to available support.
The event closed with an extended networking lunch, giving faculty and staff the chance to connect informally and build the relationships that make the Colin Powell School community thrive.
