Colin Powell School alumnus Infinite Clovie ‘25 was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President at Barclays. Infinite joined Barclays less than a year ago as an analyst, transitioning from a role as Finance and Operations Associate at the Colin Powell School’s finance department.

As a student, Clovie stood out for his engagement in extracurricular activities, including being a Koch Fellow and joining the Partnership for After School Education (PASE) Junior Board. He was also a full-time member of the Colin Powell School’s finance and operations staff, all while pursuing his bachelor’s degree.

Clovie shares some insights on the qualities he believes have helped him stand out in the corporate world: “My time at Barclays has reinforced that career growth is built on consistently delivering high-quality work, staying curious, and investing in relationships. My recent promotion to Assistant Vice President is a meaningful milestone, but it’s also a reminder that learning never stops.”

Clovie also reflects on the importance and impact that his time at City College has had in shaping his career. “During my time at City College, I developed not only a strong foundation in economics and finance, but also the ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and approach challenges with persistence. Those skills have been invaluable as I’ve taken on greater responsibility in a fast-paced environment.”
