The Minor Program in Anthropology at the Colin Powell School offers a comprehensive exploration of what it means to be human in all our amazing diversity.

Anthropology provides students with the tools for understanding our pasts, presents and futures with a focus on culture, language, society, biology, politics and economics. Anthropology offers students unique skills and insights needed to address the most pressing issues of our times like war, environmental racism, global health crises, migration, and cultural rights. Requirements

In order to obtain a Minor in Anthropology, students must complete 5 courses and a total of 15 credits within the Anthropology program which can be usefully and easily combined with Majors in other departments or even programs within the Department of Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Programs.

Students can declare a minor through iDeclare and are encouraged to meet with a faculty advisor to discuss the full list of available courses as well as the program requirements for declaring a minor.
