DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS

The Economics minor is intended for students with a strong interest in economics and who are majoring in related fields of academic study. The program is designed to align with a student’s academic interests and to prepare the student with the skills and knowledge to tackle the complex challenges of today’s globalized society. It introduces students to economic theory while also allowing for the exploration of various subfields that characterize the modern economy. With an emphasis on the economic theory that underpin economic behavior and market dynamics, students in the economics minor will engage in understanding both microeconomic and macroeconomic conditions as well as the roles of the government and the private sectors in economics.
