DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS

The Business Management and Administration minor is intended for students with a strong interest in business management and administration and who are minoring in related fields of academic study. The program is designed to align with a student’s academic interests and to prepare the students with the leadership skills and knowledge to promote social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in today’s business markets and society. It introduces students to the fundamentals in business, economics, entrepreneurship, and communication while also allowing them to explore various subfields within business administration and management. With an emphasis on the economic and management theories that underpin market dynamics and an organization’s behavior, students in this minor will engage in understanding the essential business fundamentals and the leadership competencies vital for assessing the social and financial contexts in which today’s organizations sit.
