The major promotes civic values and leadership, fostering a commitment to social responsibility alongside economic studies. This focus empowers students to develop a framework for making decisions that considers both economic efficiency and social welfare to better the world. Students also benefit from access to world-class faculty and to numerous seminars and workshops featuring leading scholars and practitioners. Through its academic rigor, research opportunities, and practical experience, graduates of the economics major are well-suited for careers in finance, consulting, government, nonprofit, and research.
