Jessica Powell

Jessica Powell joined the Colin Powell School Advising Office after nearly seven years at CUNY-Hostos, where she was an Academic Adviser for the ASAP program and also led their Peer Mentor program. Prior to that, she worked for community based organizations such as The Harlem Children’s Zone and dedicated two years to teaching abroad in South Korea. She has a BS in Elementary Education and Teaching from Penn State and an MA in Educational Leadership and Administration from NYU. Jessica hopes to work more closely with city community colleges and high schools to build a stronger pipeline and access to opportunties at the Colin Powell School.
