Q. How Do You Evaluate Applications?
We consider the whole students’ application, including grades at prior educational institutions, an applicants’ life experience, prior work experience, and application essays. We strive for diverse, dynamic classroom environments and recognize that different kinds of students bring different kinds of valuable experiences and insights to our classes.
Q. What scholarship, fellowship, or teaching opportunities does the MIA program offer?
Unfortunately, the MIA program is not able to offer direct scholarship or fellowship aid to students. The Colin Powell School has a limited number of graduate research fellowships available on a competitive basis, but typically only offered to students who are already part of the program.
Q. How much is tuition?
Our program is competitively priced, particularly when compared to other institutions in New York, although tuition and fees are subject to change each year. The most up-to-date tuition and fee information is available from the CCNY Bursar’s Office here.
Q. Do you offer online degrees?
No, we do not offer online degrees. While we typically offer a limited selection of classes online each semester, most classes are held in-person. So, students should plan to be resident in New York or the surrounding area. After all, one of the best opportunities that comes from completing a degree in New York is taking advantage of the professional opportunities that are uniquely available in the city.
Q. Can you waive the application fee?
No, unfortunately we cannot.
Q. Do you require the GRE?
No, we do not require the GRE.
