Psychology BA

DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology is intended for students pursuing careers in counseling, clinical psychology, and social work. Other BA students pursue careers in education, child psychology, human resources, or seek positions in corporations or nonprofit organizations. While working toward their BA degree, students can acquire hands-on experience in either research or clinical/counseling settings through our internship program. Many BA students transition from the BA to the BA/MA program to earn their bachelor’s and master’s degree simultaneously. BA students can choose from an exceptionally wide range of courses, studying the impact of biology, family, culture, and society on individual development, and covering topics such as trauma, psychotherapy, neuroanatomy, queer psychology, and fashion.
