DEPARTMENT OF ANTHROPOLOGY AND INTERDISCIPLINARY PROGRAMS

The International and Global Studies Program prepares students for  globalization issues and subjects. Students will learn how the world is connected in terms of politics, economics, and cultures. Within the two concentrations of Global Issues and International Relations, we prepare students for careers in a wide array of fields, from diplomacy and global governance to NGOs and multinational corporations.

Degree Requirements

To obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International and Global Studies, students must complete at least 120 credits which includes an estimated 30 credits in General Education and 30 credits on College Options courses.

Majors typically take a total of 33-34 credits within the International and Global Studies program, of which 15 are distributed across required courses (including a concentration in either Global Issues or International Relations). The remaining 18-19 credits are program electives that must be distributed across three different departments or programs and must be 20000-level or higher. These courses must be chosen in consultation
with a departmental advisor.

The remaining credits to fulfill the 120 credits required or a BA in International and Global Studies are free electives.
