Dr. Richard Paino has taught 18 different courses in four colleges since 2008. Rich’s academic interest is the relationship between a person’s distinguishing characteristics and the nature of his or her profession, known as career self-congruence.

Before moving to a career in teaching, Rich enjoyed a wide variety of job roles including salesperson, auto mechanic, systems analyst, software developer, project manager, client support specialist, software tester, IT server administrator, technical writer, corporate trainer, and military aircraft crew chief, among others.

Rich has undertaken consulting and staff engagements in several industries including information technology, pharmaceuticals, construction, law, finance, mining, telecommunications, food, energy, insurance, language translation, and education.

Rich holds eight certifications that include AI prompt engineering, resume writing, and career coaching.
