Stephanie Barnes is the Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Programs Administrative Specialist at the Colin Powell School. She has worked in various capacities at City College since 2020, including grader, research assistant, college assistant, and working closely with the Colin Powell School Advising team. She is a graduate from CUNY Graduate Center with a Master’s in Liberal Studies. Her concentration in New York Studies focused on historical archaeology and preservation of cultural materials and sites of historically excluded communities. Her research includes using archives and historical materials and documentation to explore these narratives in New York City history for reinterpretation in New York City’s museums and educational institutions.
