Jon Horvitz

Jon Horvitz is a Professor in the Dept of Psychology at City College of NY and in the Neuroscience Collaborative (CNC) at CUNY. He and his colleagues are examining how reward experiences shape the activity of the basal ganglia, and how the basal ganglia help us to choose our goals and our next action. Current work involves theoretical models of dopamine and basal ganglia function, learning and motivation.
