Braven is a 3-credit course and community empowering college students with the tools for a strong career. Learning from professionals in small cohorts, you’ll gain in-demand skills and networks. Post-graduation support after graduation and an alumni network ensure your ongoing success. The course counts towards the elective requirements of Psychology, Economics, Anthropology and International Studies majors and you can register through CunyFirst by looking up “BRAVEN” under available courses.

Meet the Colin Powell School’s Diplomat in Residence Diplomats in Residence (DIRs) are career Foreign Service Officers and Specialists located throughout the U.S. who provide guidance and advice on careers, internships and fellowships to students and professionals in the communities they serve. Kyla Brooke, the new Diplomat in Residence for the New York Metro area, is a career Foreign Service Officer with over sixteen years of experience across the U.S. Department of State.
