BASTA Fellowship

BASTA’S Mission is to close the employment gap for first-generation students of color and change the face of workforce leadership. Free fellowships offered every semester.

BRAVEN

Braven is a 3-credit course and community empowering college students with the tools for a strong career. Learning from professionals in small cohorts, you’ll gain in-demand skills and networks. Post-graduation support after graduation and an alumni network ensure your ongoing success. The course counts towards the elective requirements of Psychology, Economics, Anthropology and International Studies majors and you can register through CunyFirst by looking up “BRAVEN” under available courses.

Careers in the Foreign Service

Meet the Colin Powell School’s Diplomat in Residence Diplomats in Residence (DIRs) are career Foreign Service Officers and Specialists located throughout the U.S. who provide guidance and advice on careers, internships and fellowships to students and professionals in the communities they serve. Kyla Brooke, the new Diplomat in Residence for the New York Metro area, is a career Foreign Service Officer with over sixteen years of experience across the U.S. Department of State. She is excited to spend the next two years as part of the City College Colin Powell School community and looks forward to meeting students to discuss internships, fellowships, and careers in the State Department.Contact details for Kyla:
